Do YOU think BROADCAST TV won’t be here in 10 years?
my prediction is yes. I believe it will go away the way of newspapers
and horse and buggy.
Few reasons why:
1- We have grown up, and TV has regressed (grown down).
2- Broadcast TV is CENSORSHIP.
3- 4 Seconds (multi camera angles) programming since early 70’s
creates a disturbing viewing that creates ADD (attention deficit disorder)
TRY THIS: Turn off the sound on a SIT-com and watch for 5 minute if you can…
4- TV was created to be consumed from a distance of 10 to 15 feet.
It won’t adapt to desktop easily.
5- Up close Broadcast TV Is loud, obnoxious and vulgar.
Oh it is that from a distance too.
6- TV have brought us violence, vulgarity and low standards..
7- YOU TV of tomorrow, is honest and genuine.
8- YOU TV consumed at 3 feet or less (inside the trust Zone).
9- YOU TV is REAL, Engaging, Responsive and Interactive.
10- YOU TV is cheap to produce. Use your phone and catch the
moment LIVE…& SHARE IT.
BYE bye Fake TV…
Anyway, I am not suggesting you throw away the TELE just yet…
I am suggesting you start putting more emphasis on consuming
content that can make YOU better … Yes, PBS, Animal Planet, History Channel and
the like will survive and thrive in the new environment… But gone will be the fake
Loud laugh track riddled 3 camera over produced and overblown - hysterical TV -
In favor of you simply capturing the moments and the feelings and then sharing those feelings.
Not only I believe BROADCAST TV is going away, I am trying to figure how to benefit
From its demise and the rise of the replacement. ARE YOU LISTENING? What you think?
